When I found out I was having a girl (5 years ago!), I decided to decorate her room in a butterfly theme. Needless to say, it stuck and we have loved butterflies ever since! This butterfly hand print craft was so simple, but she loved making it!
Start your butterfly by tracing your child's hands on construction paper.
If they're too young, cut out their hand prints or have them cut them out.
Cut out a body and a circle head. Glue them all together.
Then, decorate your butterflies! We used markers, pom poms, googly eyes, and cut out some antennae. My daughter insisted that I make one too :). With older kids, you can talk about patterns or how to mirror the image on both sides. Most of all, have fun!
Thank you The Best Ideas for Kids for the fun idea! I'm linking up to Ducks in a Row's Happiness is Homemade link party.
