Spring has arrived in many parts of the world. Many of us are trying to figure out how we can update our wardrobe and style to fit with the new season.
As it happens, there are quite a few things you might want to think about here. In this post, we are going to discuss some of the main ways to approach this that could help you to succeed, and you’ll find that these are some of the best things you can do for sure.
Check out what's in your closet...
First of all, you need to see where you are with what you currently have, and especially before you buy anything new. Figure out what you already have and whether you are likely to wear it or not. This kind of audit of your closet is a really good idea to do from time to time, and what better time of year than spring to have a little spring clean? Donate some stuff that doesn’t fit anymore, or items you haven't worn in ages. Rediscover some of those forgotten gems in the back of the cupboard.
Lighten Your Layers
Spring’s all about transitional pieces. Trade bulky sweaters for lightweight knits, oversized hoodies for breathable jackets (unless you're a teenager and intend to wear those hoodies all summer), and dark tones for a lighter palette. A denim or utility jacket is a great go-to, and a relaxed overshirt can carry you through chilly mornings and warm afternoons. This way you are going to be much more comfortable throughout the spring no matter what the weather happens to be doing on any particular day.
Get A Piercing
Perhaps you want to use the spring as an opportunity to do something a little different instead. One idea is to get a piercing that you haven’t had before. There are all sorts of things you’ll need to bear in mind here, (including the necessary lip piercing aftercare instructions, if you choose to get a lip piercing) but the point is that it can be a great way to express yourself and add in a little something new to your entire look just in time for spring. So consider whether you might want to do this. I personally love simple dangly earrings to compliment my outfit.
