Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.
Pure Flix has launched a new movie called "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters". This film is based on New York Times Bestselling book written by Dr. Meg Meeker, where a successful businessman (who has all sorts of hopes and dreams for his oldest daughter) finds out that she is engaged to a missionary and wants to "give up" all of those dreams. When my husband overheard me watching this movie, he asked if it was a "Hallmark movie" because of the music. It is definitely along those lines, so if you can't wait for Hallmark movies every year, you should definitely check out "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters". (Here's the trailer)
Though the film is geared towards fathers, there were plenty of topics and pieces of advice that I felt applied to me as a mother, and as a wife. There were points where I practically nodded my head in agreement, and times I laughed out loud. One of those times was when the mom, Connie, says something along the lines of "now I know why animals eat their young" in reference to her teen daughter.
Of course, because it's a Pure Flix film, this movie is clean and appropriate for all ages. I don't know how interested young children would be in watching it, but I wasn't worried about my kids walking in the room and hearing something they shouldn't.
