My baby girl turned 3 this year and she is one of the biggest Paw Patrol fans you'd ever see! So of course we had to have a Paw Patrol cake...
I loved the how-to from The Busy Spatula, but my family doesn't eat tons of cake so I had to adapt it to a smaller amount of cake. For my Paw Patrol cake, I used a glass bread pan and my 16 oz Corningware dishes.
I did two batches of the circle dishes so that there were 4 circles. If one cake mix doesn't seem like it will be tall enough in the pans, make a second batch. I wish I could tell you how long I baked them, but I can't remember :/. I think I started checking when they had baked 3/4 of the time the box cake said to bake a 9x13.
Level off your cakes.
Cut a quarter out of each circle...the easiest way for me to do this was cut one circle in half, then half one of the halves. Use one of the quarters as a template to cut the other circles.
Arrange the 3/4 circles on each corner of the rectangle and frost between each piece to hold it together.
Ice your cake...
Add some pretty star piping around the bottom.
For my logo, I just printed one off online and laminated it! I haven't learned how to deal with fondant so this was the next best thing ;). I washed it with some dish soap and stuck it in the middle.
I bought two of the Paw Patrol mystery boxes at WalMart and happened to luck out that one was Skye (my daughter's favorite!).
There you have it...a simple cake for your biggest Paw Patrol fan!
