I love using Q-tips as paint brushes because they are super cheap, and when cut in half, they are the perfect size for little hands to hold.
I painted the tree with some brown paint,
Then I instructed my daughter to make dots with her "paint brush". She got to choose the colors and I watched while I painted my own tree.
After a while, she decided her tree needed to be a bit wider.
Just make sure to have your toddler wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on or putting an apron on them! I have to let go of my slight OCD when crafting with kids, but when I do, it's so much fun to see how they create their own version of the craft :).
This is the perfect toddler craft, kids craft, or family craft for fall! Thank you The Pinterested Parent for the inspiration. I'll be linking up to Tip Me Tuesday at Tip Junkie.
