After I saw a bunny shirt at Craftaholics Anonymous, I knew I could make one with materials I had on hand! I used freezer paper stenciling to make this shirt. To make your own, you'll need a stencil...print out a silhouette of a bunny or use the one I drew below:
Trace your stencil onto freezer paper (the non-waxy side) and cut out the bunny.
Lay the freezer paper on your shirt with the waxy side down and iron it to your shirt. I use a medium-heat setting and just iron for a few seconds. I also cut out a small circle and ironed that to the shirt for the bunny's tail.
Put a piece of paper or cardboard inside the shirt so paint won't bleed through. Now use some fabric paint and paint your little bunny! I had to let mine dry and add a second coat.
Follow the directions on your paint as far as how long to let it dry. Once it's dry you can peel off the freezer paper and admire your work!
Now your little one can have a festive bunny shirt :).
