Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree Ornament

We go through a lot of popsicle sticks around here. Recently, my 5 year old and I made Christmas trees out of popsicle sticks, and it was interesting seeing his unique twists on the classic. Mine is on the left, his is on the right (his reminds me of trees we made 2 years ago):

To make mine, I had 4 sticks and broke one of those in half. I painted the 3 whole ones green, and half of the broken one brown. Once those were dry, I glued them together. Then I glued pom poms on for the ornaments. It’s amazing how much school glue those pom poms can soak up! I glued a ribbon on the back and hung it up on my tree! My son made the triangle, but then he broke sticks to various lengths and glued them across the triangle to fill it in.
