Celebrate fall with Febreze

Disclosure: This is a sponosred post for SheSpeaks/Febreze. All opinions expressed are my own.

Yesterday it was in the mid 90's with a heat index of 105 degrees...way too hot for September! Thankfully, I think we have seen the last of those temperatures and today is supposed to be in the 70's. I love fall; the crunch of leaves under my feet, the sweet smells of pumpkins and cinnamon, the perfect weather for sweaters and hot cocoa.

Febreze has a line of scents perfect for the fall season. Their scents are Toasted Almond, Sugared Cranberry, Spiced Pear, Vanilla Latte and Autumn Harvest. Right now, I have Vanilla Latte wafting through my home in the Febreze Noticeables that I received. In a home full of little children, the sweet smell helps mask some of the "fragrances" that my little ones seem to contribute to our home, while helping us get in a festive mood. At least now I don't have to worry as much if guests suddenly arrive because they will smell vanilla instead of dirty shoes or other stinky smells (Febreze really helps to eliminate odors!).

I received a fun package from Febreze...in the box was a cute cardboard barn. Inside the barn were a car freshener, and a Noticeables to use in my home. You can see in the image all of the fun extras that were inside which my boys are now enjoying.

Also in the package were some fun fall "scentspiration" activities. My favorite was the suggestion to whistle with an acorn top (inspired by Autumn Harvest scent). To do so, you...
  1. Make a fist with your hands, then place your hands together with your fingers touching.
  2. Place the acorn top on the top of your index fingers.
  3. Put your thumbs on top of the acorn top, angling them so that the tips of your thumbs make a "V" shape.
  4. Blow over the top of your thumbs to hear a whistle! I found this website helpful in learning how to properly do this.
Have you ever made an acorn whistle? I tried it with several different acorn tops but haven't been able to do it yet. This may be my personal quest this fall...to find an acorn top I can whistle with.  What scents remind you of fall?
