Disclosure: I was provided with a The Happy’s™ pet for the purpose of this review sponsored by Cepia LLC and MomSelect. All opinions expressed are my own.
My little boy just turned 5 last week. We celebrated with a Lego theme party and it was so much fun watching his face light up as he opened each of his presents. Just days before his birthday a package arrived with a little toy kitty inside (“Mittens”); one of The Happy’s™! I decided to give it to him as one of his gifts and at first he didn’t seem to know what to think, but when he took it out of the box, he fell in love.
It is so adorable to watch my little boy walk around with his “pet kitty” and try so hard to take care of it. He loves it so far as I can tell and has made it a little bed to sleep in, carries it around the house and plays with the ball and begging toy with this little kitty. He insists we need to get his kitty a collar.
As a parent, I love that my child loves this toy. However, I have a few complaints…the kitty whistles! No real cat whistles. I think for me the toy would be more enjoyable/tolerable if it were more true to life. You can teach these toys new tricks, but so far, all the kitty does is race around on our hard wood floors making whistling or meowing noises. Thankfully my son doesn’t play with it all the time so it’s a bearable toy for this mom who enjoys her quiet.
All in all, it’s a toy that doesn’t require much imagination and doesn’t seem to hold his attention for very long, but when he does play with it, he enjoys doing so. He laughs a lot when his kitty spins and rolls up on her “back legs” to get the ball. If you would like to learn more, watch this video or the commercial.

I would like mittens the kitten for my daughter. We have 3 older cats that don't really play with her so this would be a great alternative. It is very cute. I'm not sure about the whistle either, but aren't most kids toys that make a noise annoying anyways.
