A couple of years ago, my husband somehow heard about kitchen scales and became convinced that we had to have one. We were in the middle of law school and I was extremely budget minded. I was insistent that we would be fine without a kitchen scale and that we didn't need to spend money on one. However, my husband persisted and bought one.
I was pleasantly surprised at how useful a little kitchen scale was. From weighing packages to be mailed, to finding out how many pounds of tomatoes I had harvested (over 40 pounds this summer!), the scale has helped me in many ways in the kitchen. I did have one complaint about my little scale...it was hard to clean/sterilize. It was made of two main pieces and hard to wipe down (which also made it awkward to store).
The Ozeri Touch II Kitchen Scale, with Microban® Antimicrobial Product Protection does everything my old scale did, plus it is one piece. It is easy to clean! I love the sleek, modern look of this scale as well as how easy it is to operate. I can store it anywhere in my kitchen because it is so thin. There are two buttons-the power/tare button, and the unit button. I can use this scale to weigh letters for postage, measure different foods, learn how to count calories, etc.
I will say that the scale turns on easily (any little touch will turn it on) and is very sensitive. Thankfully it's almost as easy to turn off. :).
I expect to be using this little scale a lot and am so far very happy with it.
Do you have a kitchen scale? What would you use a kitchen scale for?
