Good Life with Allstate

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I think as mothers, we tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves. We never feel like we're doing good enough, or that we're doing enough, period. For me, at the end of the day, it's so easy to look at what didn't happen...the dishes never got cleaned, I never played that board game with my boys that I was supposed to, the laundry is still unfolded, there is mud all over the floor, etc, etc, etc. I constantly second guess if the discipline method I used was ok, or if I said the right thing to my child.

Feeling like this can get overwhelming! If we feel like we never accomplish anything, or only focus on the negative, it's easy to get depressed or feel useless. It is so important to see the glass as half full; to give ourselves points for the things we did do. Every time a mother tells her child "I love you" should be one point. Every time a mother laughs with her child should be another. It's looking for the small moments in our days that make the monotony of cleaning house, wiping noses, etc worth it.

Allstate Good Life is new and different. Allstate wants us to strive for optimism and celebration instead of fear and doubt. We should celebrate moments of simplicity and contentment, as well as our triumphs over adversity. Celebrate the road trips, or the morning snuggles with little ones. Celebrate the one plant in your garden that grew instead of mourning the ones that didn't make it. It's the struggles we go through that make us stronger, and shape us as a person. We should celebrate the people we have become!
