Wacky Kids Bookmarks

If you’re looking for a fun, simple gift to give to grandparents this year for Christmas, try these out:Kids Photo Bookmarks

I fell in love with the idea as soon as I found it on Pinterest linked to Creative Family Moments. These are wonderfully simple to make and they turn out so cute! Come to think of it, these could make really cute little ornaments too…

To make your bookmarks just have your children pose like they are holding onto a rope and snap a few pictures…the sillier the faces the better.

Take the photos to a photo printing booth at Walmart or Walgreens and print those off. Then, just cut out the pictures being careful to leave enough room for a small hole punch in the hands. I wrote a message to Grandma on the back of the bookmark.

I then took my pictures to a copy shop and had them laminated. Laminated Kids BookmarksThen, I cut out the bookmarks making sure not to cut too closely (so the laminate wouldn’t separate).

Punch a hole in the hands and loop a tassle through the hole…I loved my 3 year old’s face in his picture. It looks like he’s floating away happily while holding onto a bunch of balloons :)Laminated Kids Bookmarks

To make a tassle, just wrap some thin yarn around a piece of cardboard (about 2-3 inches wide) several times. Making a tassle

Slide the yarn off the cardboard and tie some yarn in the middle…Making a tassle

Then cut the loops.

This project cost me about $3.00!
