Inspired by the stained glass hearts we made forever ago, I decided to get into the fall spirit with my boys by making stained glass leaves…
All you have to do is have your little ones sharpen several fall colored crayons and keep the shavings…
Put the shavings between two sheets of wax paper (the less you put on, the more your leaves will look like water colors, the more you put on, the more vibrant your leaves will be). Your kids can do this part too :)
Put blank paper or a paper bag underneath your wax paper and another paper on top and briefly iron your wax paper.
Trace leaf templates onto the wax paper and cut your leaves out. Tape your leaves to the window and enjoy the beautiful colors of your very own fall leaves!
I’ll be linking up to Works For Me Wednesday, Kids Get Crafty, Mommy Solutions, Mom’s Library, What Are Little Boys Made Of? and Preschool Corner Friday.
OMG! I have to make these! I did your hearts and my daughter's preschool loves them. They are still on the windows. I did clovers for St. Patrick's Day too and they were a hit as well!
