I try really hard to get my kids to eat their veggies and right now, my biggest trick is cooking meals where the veggies are in the main dish such as casseroles & soups. On other days I usually turn to a can of green beans or Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers…veggies in a yummy sauce that goes from frozen to steamed in a few minutes in the microwave.
When I serve these Steamers, my 2 1/2 year old will often go for his cheesy broccoli before he goes for anything else. I can’t blame him! I love how they taste, how much more willing my entire family is to eat their veggies, and more than anything else, how easy they are to prepare! Recently we tried the Valley Fresh Steamers with pasta and my kids were asking for seconds and thirds instead of eating the other food on their plates.
If you’ve been looking for a new way to get your kids to eat their veggies, or if you have already tried and loved Valley Fresh Steamers, then this is the giveaway for you…just follow the instructions in the Rafflecoptor widget below to enter to win the following:
A serving bowl, a surprise face serving spoon (hands down one of my favorite kitchen utensils now), two Green Giant laminated place mats (my kids use these and my table stays so much cleaner!), and a VIP coupon for a free Valley Fresh Steamers product.

No kids, but to get hubby to eat veggies, I cut them up small and mix them into casseroles or soups. He's less likely to pick them out then!
ReplyDeleteThey're involved in the cooking process usually and that makes them more excited to eat what they helped make.
ReplyDeleteMy little one and hubby don't like their veggies- I usually make muffins and casseroles and put veggies as ingredients.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get my grandson to eat any kind of vegetable at all

Yeah. We really eat this stuff. Pretty good most of the time, though not quite as good as completely fresh, it's an appetizing alternative.
ReplyDeleteI melt cheese over them. My kids love cheese so they eat them easier
