“Game Time: Tackling the Past”

Do you  cringe every time to sit down to watch a movie with young kids wondering how appropriate it’s going to be for them? Families with young children are becoming more and more limited as to what their kids can and should be seeing on TV, online and in the theaters. Not only that, but many families are struggling to find activities they can do and enjoy together.

Thanks to Walmart and P&G, families are now able to enjoy clean, wholesome movies with good values from the comfort of their own homes. This Saturday (September 3) at 8pm ET/7pm CT, sit down as a family to watch Game Time: Tackling the Past. For a preview, watch the video below:

Jake Walker left home convinced he was a disappointment to his family and the community. He became a pro football player and lived the good life until his father has a heart attack, causing Jake to return home and face the problems that had been plaguing him for years. Through love and forgiveness, Jake’s family is able to heal hurt wounds and form a stronger family.

My Review: though it’s not the best movie as far as videography and special effects, I loved the message learned by the characters in the movie which was then passed on to the viewers.

I would feel perfectly comfortable letting my 4 year old watch this movie and would hope that even at his young age that he would be able to pick up some of the messages this movie carries. I am so excited that Walmart and P&G have combined efforts to provide good media that I can watch without worry!

Tune in this Saturday to watch Game Time: Tackling the Past and check out the official Family Movie Night website and their Facebook page!

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of P&G and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. Thanks for the review. I have a 4 year old too and I too wonder about some movies. It's terrible when you get a blockbuster or redbox and it wasn't what you thought. New follower from Tiggerific Tuesday. Hope you can hop by and follow at tootsabellarose.blogspot.com

  2. We don't have TV but that looks like a good show. I love that there are others out there concerned with the same things I am. "If" we go to the movies I go to www.kids-in-mind.com and they will give you a rating and tell you exactly what happens so you can be prepared "before" you go to the movies. I got so tired of the problem with TV and commercials we just got rid of it. ;)

  5. I thought the show was okay over all. Nice message, good story, not so good writing and character development.

The funny thing to me is that NO ONE who is any sort of a football fan is going to watch this. Why? umm HELLO! COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY? Several key matchups kick off at the same time this show is supposed to start. Seeing as how part of the message of this show is directed in part to football loving fanatics...they kind of miss the target audience.

  6. @Andi, thank you so much for sharing that site with me...I will definitely be using it in the future to screen out movies I don't want my kids watching!
