Letter Learning Lids

Do you ever have guilt over silly little things? We had all these lids sitting on our desk and I just couldn't throw them away. Pathetic? Maybe...

Since K has enjoyed playing on Starfall, he's started becoming acquainted with capital and lower case letters. Why not take these lids and make a letter game for him? It's free, different from normal flash cards, and he loved them! As we collect more lids, I'll make more letters for him.DSCN3661
Use the lid to trace a circle around the letter, or whatever you want to put in the lids...it could be numbers to teach math, or shapes, or colors! This is so easily adapted to different ages. DSCN3659
Cut out the circles, and gradually shave off the sides until it fits snugly inside the lid. You shouldn't need glue; it will sit inside the threads. DSCN3660
These because you can do matching, or memory, or any sort of game your child might enjoy. DSCN3666

On a totally random note, you have to try the Skinny Bovine's Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken! We made it last night and not only is it delicious but with every bite of pineapple, flavor explodes in your mouth. Amazing!

Oh! And I'm linking up to Feature Yourself Friday @ Fingerprints on the Fridge and Friday Fun Finds @ Kojo Designs.
