Visit Branson, Missouri this Summer!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Can I just say that while typing this post, I had to learn the hard way that Missouri only has one “r”…

I have very few memories of the time I have spent in Missouri throughout my life. When I was in first grade, my dad had training with the Army for 4 months there. Once he was done with the training, we drove out to pick him up. All I remember is the wedding we went to and most of my family getting really sick. When we got back to New Mexico, my dad made my mom stop so he could get out and kiss the ground (he was ecstatic to be home!).

When I was older, I drove from NY to New Mexico with my aunt and we stopped at a few sites in Missouri such as Independence and Winter Quarters. These sites have more religious significance and I really enjoyed the brief time we spent there.

One day I hope to go back and see more of what Missouri has to offer. Branson sounds like one such place that I would greatly enjoy.

If you really want to spoil yourself while there, book your stay in Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel or the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing.

The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is in the Branson Landing shopping district. They offer pool, a fitness center, a business center, on-site dining and a whirlpool. I would personally love to go through the shopping district if only to window shop!

image The Hilton Branson Convention Center is also a full service hotel. You can hold meetings there and enjoy all that Branson has to offer! There are indoor and outdoor pools to enjoy as well.

If Branson's river walk is anything like San Antonio's, I would love to visit and shop there. There's just something soothing about walking by a river while spending all of your money :).

This summer, there are several exciting events for the whole family to enjoy such as the National Kid's Fest, Stage One National Dance Finals, Colgate Country Showdown, live performances and concerts, as well as the always present museums, theme parks and theaters.

If I made my own itinerary, it would probably be something like this (since it's a vacation, I refuse to schedule actual times into my itinerary):

  • Sleep in as late as possible (simply because I've woken up to my darling children at 6:30 every morning for who knows how long)
  • Eat breakfast on the river walk and stroll all of the cute little shops.
  • Take a picnic lunch to one of the beautiful lakes and hike for a little while
  • Head to a museum to escape the nasty afternoon humidity.
  • Eat dinner at a local restaurant
  • Swim off all the stress and stickiness of the humidity (can you tell I’m not a huge fan of extreme humidity?)image
  • Enjoy a nice restful evening with my hubby while we watch whatever on tv or something else.
I guess for my dream itinerary in Branson, kids might have to be somewhere else. If they are with us, we would probably go to a theme park or the Kids Fest I mentioned above :)
