Send Your Class on a Field Trip

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

I think anyone who ever set foot in a classroom and stayed long enough to go on a field trip has fond memories of the times they were able to explore outside of their classroom. Field trips provide incredible opportunities for children! I have so many fond memories of field trips growing up and I cannot wait for my boys to have the chance to go on their own field trips...to learn that the back of the bus is bumpiest, or explore a museum with their classmates.

What's depressing is the fact that due to budget cuts, field trips are becoming fewer and farther between for children all of the US. Over 30,000 schools this next year could cut out field trips entirely. By the time my boys get to school, who knows if they'll be able to go on field trips.

I'm sure most of you have heard about Lunchables' new contest, but if not, everyone should check it out. Anyone over age 6 can nominate a classroom to win a field trip sponsored by Lunchables! Head over to Field Trips For All to nominate a classroom that you love and want the best for. Be prepared to answer questions such as why this classroom deserves a field trip, and what kind of field trip they deserve.

Here's a funny video used to introduce this contest:

I nominated my middle school orchestra. My teacher is still working there (over 10 years later), teaching kids to love music and I cannot think of a more deserving class! I would love to hear who you would nominate, and encourage you to spread the word. Only 50 classrooms will win a field trip, but that is 50 classrooms that might not have a field trip otherwise.
