Hand Print Mother's Day Flower

I think my mom might get sick of hand-print related gifts for every holiday, but I think they are just so stinking cute and that way she gets a little piece of her grand kids as they grow.
DSCN2945 Today we made hand-print flowers, complete with footprint leaves to send to Grandma for Mother's Day. K absolutely loves tracing his fingers and toes, which is probably a contributing factor to why Grandma gets so many hand-print crafts.

DSCN2947 This was so easy to make...I just traced K's hand a million (ok, 16) times and cut them out. I intentionally left the pen tracing visible because, honestly, that's what it looks like to trace a 3 year old's hands :). K got to place the hands as petals while I spread glue.

I traced K's feet and drew on veins for the leaves. Once they were glued on, I realized I would have liked them much better the other way, but too late now!

I have to remind myself constantly while doing crafts not to change or correct what K is doing unless it is to teach him. I want the crafts to be his and I just have to bite my perfectionist tongue sometimes.

DSCN2948 K took this picture himself...I think I may have a budding photographer!
