Feed Me Books Friday: Click Clack Moo

My sister-in-law asked if I wanted some books she was giving away and I jumped at the chance to grab some. The minute K walked into our apartment and saw the box full of books, he exclaimed "Mommy, those books for me?!" To see his reaction and the pure joy on his face as he pulled out each book and begged me to read them, I knew I must have done at least one thing right. I have instilled a love of reading in my children. I only hope it lasts throughout his life!
DSCN2952 One of the books we got was "Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type." What happens when cows get hold of a typewriter? They drive the farmer crazy with bizarre requests of course! I literally burst out laughing as I read this book to K. I don't know if he appreciated the book nearly as much as I did, but I know he enjoyed it at least a little.
DSCN2955 I would also like to recommend a book I read for my own pleasure recently. The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society is an endearing book that tells of Europe's recovery after WWII, and the relationship that forms between an author, and a hilarious group of people who formed a Literary Society in order to meet regularly under Nazi rule. This book is written in the form of letters being sent to and from various people, which threw me off at first, but I loved it by the end as I got to know each of the characters better. I highly recommend this book! I learned so much more about post WWII and the heartache that lasted for years.

  3. Hmm. I thought I commented earlier but maybe not. I linked you up. It's fixed now. I think I'll have a week when we can recommend books just for mom. Thanks for the recommendations!
